Police Seek Driver Involved in Fatal Hit and Run Accident
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating the driver and the vehicle involved in a hit and run accident that killed Rodolfo Veleasco.
On Friday, August 25, 2006, around 9:27 p.m., Rodolfo Velasco, a 32 year-old resident of Los Angeles, was running southbound across Santa Monica Boulevard near Westmoreland Avenue, when he was struck by a champagne colored Honda Accord that was traveling eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard. The driver of this vehicle fled the scene without stopping to identify him or herself, or render aid. Mr. Velasco died at the scene as a result of the injuries.
The hit and run vehicle sustained damage to the left front headlight assembly along with the driver's side view mirror.
