LAPD Host Youth Mentoring Workshop

Why:
The goal of this event is to provide student members of our youth programs an opportunity to learn peer leadership and mentoring skills from Los Angeles Police Department Command staff and other subject matter experts. The students will receive instruction on the negative impact of truancy and peer pressure, bullying, conflict resolution, peer pressure, school violence, coalition building. The event is designed to equip student to begin the school year with the tools they need to positively impact their fellow students in their schools and communities.
