August 28, 2009

On the afternoon of August 27, 2009, missing person Robin Sanderson was located safely
in the city of Los Angeles and reunited with her family

Los Angeles police officials and family members are asking for the public's help in finding a missing person.

Robin Sanderson was last seen on August 19, 2009 at her residence in the 11000 block of Cayuga Avenue in Pacoima.  She hasn't returned home and there has been no contact with her family since then.  The family is concerned for Sanderson's safety and indicated that it is out of character for her not to be in touch with family or friends.

Sanderson is described as biracial (White/African-American), 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  She wears a gold nose ring and was last seen wearing a blue tank-top, tan shorts, and tan shoes.  Sanderson was carrying a light yellow blanket and an orange bag.  Family members reported that she left home taking her brown acoustic guitar and her 3-month-old brown puppy (pit bull/terrier mix).  Her physical condition is described as good, but her mental health is described as poor.

Anyone with information regarding Sanderson's whereabouts is asked to call Missing Person's Unit at 213-485-5381.  After hours or on weekends, calls may be directed to a 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247).  Callers may also text "Crimes" with a cell phone or log on to and click on web tips.  When using a cell phone, all messages should begin with "LAPD."  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
