Fatal Shooting in Harbor City NR16235ml

Harbor City: Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information of a fatal shooting in Harbor City.

On Friday, July 29, 2016, around 1:50 p.m., the suspect walked southbound through a parking lot located at 1300 block of West Pacific Coast Highway in Harbor City. The suspect fired numerous rounds toward a Barbeque which was set up at the south end of the parking lot.

A male and female employee of the barbeque was struck by the gunfire. Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The 31-year old, female, Black, victim failed to respond to medical treatment and died from injuries sustained at the hospital. The victim’s identity is not available pending notification of next kin.

The 34-year old, male, Black, victim was treated for a gunshot wound to his right bicep and was released from the hospital.

The suspect is described as a male, Black, no further information. The investigation is ongoing.
