WHO: Captain III Jorge Rodriguez, Commanding Officer Newton Area Lieutenant Samuel Rhone, Officer in Charge Newton Detectives Detective II Julio Benavides, Newton Homicide Supervisor Police Officer II Deen Alcaraz, Newton Homicide Investigator Police Officer II Ken Ahn, Newton Homicide Investigator

WHY: On November 19, 2000, Daniel Felix was shot and killed in the 1800 block East 54th Street in Los Angeles. The murder suspect was able to elude apprehension for 16 years. The suspect was captured on July 25, 2016, and is now awaiting trial.
