WHAT: Back To School Traffic Safety & Shop With A Cop Event

WHEN: Monday, August 14, 2017 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

WHERE: Staples Parking Lot 17020 Chatsworth Street (S/W corner of Balboa/Chatsworth) Granada Hills, Ca. 91344

WHO: Captain Andrew Neiman, Commanding Officer Valley Traffic Division Detective III Bill Bustos, OIC, Valley Traffic Division Detectives Children and Parents from Girls & Boys Club of San Fernando Valley

WHY: This event will focus on some very important traffic safety tips for parents, students and all commuters as our children return for the new school year.

Along with the traffic safety information, the LAPD will have uniformed officers accompany 25 kids as they purchase more than $100 worth of back to school supplies made possible through a generous donation from the Los Angeles Police Foundation.

The Department received a total donation of $62,500 from the Matthew 25:35 Foundation to enable the Back To School Shop With A Cop to take place at 25 different locations around the City. Officers in uniform will assist the students as they shop for back to school items.
