Gang Member Shot and Killed by Rival

 

Los Angeles: An Hispanic gang member was shot and killed by an apparent rival Sunday, June 19th, at approximately 11:45 PM in the Green Meadow area of Los Angeles.

The victim, 19-year-old Ayboni Del Toro, was buying tacos from a catering truck on the southeast corner of Gage Avenue and Main Street when a black man approached him and asked his gang affiliation. When Del Toro denied gang involvement, the suspect pulled a gun and shot him. Del Toro was taken by paramedics to California Hospital where he later died.

The LAPD is seeking the assistance of the community in solving this crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Newton Homicide Detective Weber or Rico at 323-846-6556, during normal business hours.
