Deaton Civic Auditorium 100 West First Street Los Angeles, Ca 90012 Who: Chief Charlie Beck LAPD Police Officers LAPD Command Staff and Special Guests Why: The Los Angeles Police Department will host a recognition awards ceremony. There will be 139 sworn and civilian department employees who will be honored with the Police Meritorious Unit Citation and the Human Relations Medal. These individuals are being recognized by the Department for bravery or outstanding service as a member of an organizational unit, or for showing great compassion and having gone beyond the call of duty in their response to fellow human beings.
