WHY:   
On February 24, 2011, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Area Organized Retail Crimes Association (LAAORCA) will be hosting its second organized retail crimes conference. Law enforcement officials and their retail counterparts will meet in closed sessions to discuss the importance of public and private partnership, discussing crime trends, leveraging resources to help identify ORC suspects.  This is beneficial to law enforcement to help reduce property related crimes to build a safer community.  We are pleased to have Joe LaRocca, Senior Advisor of the National Retail Federation, as a speaker. He will analyze retail crime trends and crime reduction efforts. The conference is expected to attract nearly 800, including representatives from over 60 law enforcement agencies and representatives from over 140 retail/ businesses.
