Two Union Workers Arrested for Grand Theft NR11212cj

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Central Area detectives are conducting a criminal investigation involving a union officer and a volunteer who were arrested in Los Angeles for grand theft.

On Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at around 9:50 p.m., LAPD Central Area Officers responded to a call in the 300 block of North Figueroa Street to investigate a theft.  When the officers completed their investigation they arrested the executive director of Engineers and Architects Association (EAA) Josif Kahraman and his wife Ani Kahraman, an EAA volunteer.

The two suspects were arrested for 487 PC Grand Theft and booked at 77th Regional Jail. On May 5, 2011, the two arrestees posted bond and were released from custody.  Central Area detectives are conduction the investigation and it is on-going.
