Why:     
The Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and Public Safety (HSPS) invites you to join Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and LAPD Deputy Chief David Doan to a press conference and film screening in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Mayor's Office has partnered with Verizon Wireless on this event, as part of the "Journey of Hope" tour (http://journeyofhope.org/).  Following the press conference, there will be a screening of "Telling Amy's Story," a 20-minute documentary film and public service media project that seeks to help in the fight to end domestic violence.
