The victim in this homicide has been identified as 41-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez. 

Detectives’ investigation revealed that the motive for this homicide appears to be gang-related.  The victim was driving a friend’s car, a GMC Pick-up truck, near his home when an unknown suspect(s) opened fire striking the victim multiple times.

Los Angeles: LAPD Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 41-year-old man.

On Saturday, December 3, 2011, around 4:20 p.m., Hollenbeck patrol officers responded to a shooting call at East 6th Street and Euclid Avenue.  Upon arrival, the officers saw a man sitting in a car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue personnel responded to the scene to provide emergency medical treatment and pronounced the victim dead.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
