A 15-second video public service announcement depicting causes and results of false burglar alarm calls will be shown. Copies of the public service announcement will be available in Beta SP format for television outlets.
Los Angeles Police Department officers respond to approximately 40,000 false burglar alarm calls annually. Each false alarm call consumes valuable public safety resources. Learning the responsibilities of alarm system ownership is key to reducing the number of false alarm calls.
