54-year-old Edward Nix Killed by Hit-and-Run driver NR14125nv

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for the hit-and-run death of 54-year-old Edward Nix, a resident of Los Angeles.

On Monday, February 3, 2014, around 5:55 p.m., Edward Nix was walking across the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Orme Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Olympic Boulevard.  The driver of the vehicle sped up and continued east on Olympic Boulevard, failing to stop and render aid or to identify themselves, as required by law.  Nix was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Video surveillance captured at scene revealed that the motorist was driving a burgundy colored vehicle, possibly a late model Honda Odyssey or CRV.  The motorist was described as a female Hispanic.
