Request to Immediately Discontinue the Circulation of Arrestee Robert Ransom’s Photograph NR14157SF

Los Angeles:  It has been brought to the attention of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) that an entity outside the LAPD has released a photograph of arrestee Robert Ransom to news outlets without consulting with LAPD investigative units.

The Department is respectfully requesting that all media outlets discontinue the publishing of this image in order to protect the integrity of the ongoing criminal investigation and potential future investigations where additional witnesses and victims may be interviewed.

The continued circulation of this photograph could taint or jeopardize witness and victim identification.

We thank you for your cooperation and understand that this photograph is out in the public domain.

We would like to mitigate any future or additional publishing of his photograph.
