Angeles/Anaheim: Los Angeles Police Central Homicide
detectives have arrested two individuals believe to be responsible
for the murder of Mr. Fernando Perez.

Homicide Detectives received an anonymous tip from the public.
Detectives were advised that the suspects where in the City of
Anaheim. LAPD detectives worked together with Anaheim Police
Department and where able to locate and arrest Fred Scott Johnson
and Savannah McKinley.

Fred Scott Johnson (Booking # 5503369) is 23 years-old, male,
White, blonde hair, green eyes, standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall,
transient. Scott was placed under arrest for Murder 187 (A) PC on
Dec 22, 2018 at 8 p.m., with Bail set at $2,000,000.00

Savannah McKinley (Booking # 5503354) is 28-years-old, female,
White, brown hair, brown eyes, standing at 5 feet tall, transient.
McKinley was placed under arrest for Accessory 32 PC on Dec 22,
2018 at 8 p.m., with Bail set at $2,000,000.00.

The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District
Attorney for prosecution.

Los Angeles: Los
Angeles Police Department Central Homicide detectives are asking
for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead
to the identification and arrest of the suspect responsible for
stabbing a homeless man to death.

On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, around 8:30 p.m., Los Angeles Fire
Department paramedics responded to the area of 9th Street, between
Hope Street and Grand Avenue for a medical emergency. The victim,
Fernando Perez, was transported to California Hospital where the
medical team determined that Perez sustained multiple stab wounds.
On November 8, 2018, Perez failed to respond to medical treatment
and succumbed to his injuries.

The entire incident, including some of the actions leading up to
and after the murder, were captured on video. Central Homicide
detectives recovered video footage from several businesses
depicting images of the suspect throughout the Downtown Los Angeles
area.

Perez was attacked and stabbed multiple times. The suspect is a
White male, 25-35 years old, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall,
thin build and brown hair. During the assault, the suspect was
wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with “Thrasher” written across the
chest, jogger type pants, and black shoes with white soles. Several
images depicted the suspect, throughout the evening, wearing a
white t-shirt with an unknown type of logo on the front, a purple
or light blue hat with a white logo, carrying a backpack with what
appears to be a luggage tag attached. He was accompanied by a
female prior to, and after the murder. She is believed to be a
White female, short, small to medium build, brown hair with light
brown ponytail, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants with
white stripes, a dark colored hat, white shoes, and carrying a
black backpack.

A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the
arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of
Fernando Perez. Anyone with information is urged to call Central
