Shooting Robbery Suspect Caught on Video NR19033ti

Los Angeles: Detectives
from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Area are seeking
the public’s assistance in identifying a violent Robbery
suspect.

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, around 5:15 p.m., a Robbery occurred
at a business located near the 700 block of East 54th Street. The
suspect entered the business and approached the employee who was
standing behind the register. The suspect produced a handgun and
pointed it through the window of the bulletproof glass partition
and demanded money. The suspect then fired one round narrowly
missing the employee. Out of fear the employee removed cash from
the register and handed it to the suspect. The suspect took the
money and ran out the front of the store.

The Suspect is described as a 30 to 35-year-old male Hispanic, with
medium complexion. He stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs
approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing grey long sleeved hooded
sweatshirt. The suspect has a gap between his two front
teeth.
