$50,000 Reward Offered on Fatal Hit and Run

LAPD Captain Gary Walters, Commanding Officer, Central Traffic Division LAPD Detective Juan Campos, Central Traffic Division Victim’s children and extended family

WHY:

On February 24, 2020, around 12:50 a.m., a Hispanic couple were walking northbound on Sunset Boulevard, east of White Knoll Drive. Prior to reaching the north curb of Sunset Boulevard, they were struck by a red or burgundy 4-door sedan and were dragged approximately 50 feet.

A 71-year-old male and his 58-year-old companion, identified as Morena Del Carmen Alvarado-Lopez, were transported to a local hospital with severe injuries. Morena Del Carmen passed away at the hospital.
