Susie Montanez is medically retired from an Assistant Vice President position at Union Bank of California , where she was in charge of all bank robberies for the Southern California area. She was a recognized leader in a competitive field with an unsurpassed reputation. To this day, when she walks into any Union Bank, management instantly recognizes her and speaks admirably of her.
Susie has been a Central Area volunteer since 2002 and within this past year alone, she has assisted Central Area in numerous events. She has worked on a variety of assignments such as a Meter Bandit Task Force; assisted Command Post personnel for Special Events, Central/CTD Annual Picnic, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Central Area Carnival Fundraiser,1st Annual BID Appreciation Luncheon, CTD’s Cops for Tots and numerous fundraisers that Central has held. She is committed, motivated and reliable. She has donated countless hours of her time both at Central Station and from home, making phone calls and meeting with her professional contacts to assist Central in their fundraising attempts. She is instrumental in various assignments and is readily available without complaints
She predominately assists the Problem Solving Unit and is familiar with the administrative duties of the unit, such as handling mail, completing RECAP for Bikes and SLO’s, Staples assignments, filing and answering phones. She is an intelligent, hardworking individual and is not hesitant to offer her assistance to other units within Central Area. Between February 28, 2005, and April 22, 2005, I attended a course in San Diego for eight weeks which took me out of the office during the week. During this time, Susie would come to work with me every weekend at 5:00 am and help me catch up with the workload of the week without complaints. She is an asset not only to PSU but to Central Area.
To tirelessly devote ones time to an organization without hesitation or complaints and without any expectancy of reward in return is remarkable.
