Chief Bratton to Pass the Baton to Interim Chief Downing

LAPD Chief William J. Bratton
LAPD Interim Chief Michael Downing
LAPD Command Staff and Officers

Why:
To offer an opportunity for Chief Bratton to officially transfer his Chief’s Stars and office keys to Interim Chief Michael Downing in a ceremonial transfer of power.  

This will be Chief Bratton’s final act as a sworn member of the Los Angeles Police Department before assuming his new role as a civilian in the private sector.
