Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery-Homicide Division, will be holding a press conference to request the public’s assistance in identifying a homicide victim. The victim was found dead on June 28, 2001 at approximately 8:50 A.M., when a citizen observed the body of a female in the Carob Tree Grove Picnic Area in Elysian Park. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The victim is described as a female Hispanic, 15-25 years old, 5’1" tall, 147 lbs., Brown Hair and Brown eyes. The victim has a large mole on the inner left elbow. Her clothing consisted of a White "T" shirt, White Shorts and White tennis Shoes.
A composite drawing of the victim will be made available at the press conference.
