First Female Command Pilot Retires

WHAT:
Retirement and Last Flight of Officer Terri Lincoln

WHEN:
Thursday, March 27, 2008
1:00 PM

WHERE:
Hooper Heliport
555 Ramirez Street
Los Angeles, CA 90012

WHY:
Los Angeles Police Officer Terri Lincoln is retiring after 23 years of outstanding service. She has worked various patrol divisions prior to joining the Air Support Division in 1989.

Her work ethic and enthusiasm earned her a highly competitive selection for pilot training. In January 1991, she proudly received her Command Pilot wings and served 17 years as one of the first female Command Pilots, accumulating over 7000 hours of flight time.

Officer Lincoln was chosen as the cover story for the “Women in Aviation” magazine and on October 18, 2007, she was honored at “The Law Enforcement and Firefighter’s Appreciation Ceremony” as Officer of the Year.
