WHY: The Los Angeles Police Department and the City of Hope are sponsoring a marrow drive on behalf of Officer Carlos Torres.
Officer Torres is a 27-year veteran of the Department and currently assigned to Central Traffic Division. He was diagnosed with and fighting Leukemia since late 2006. Carlos is one of the originators of the Children’s Hospital Annual Cops for Tots Auto Show. The show has benefited the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit for the last 13 years.
