The back is formed by two pieces of handsome maple and is marked by a medium-wide figure which extended horizontally from the center joint toward the flanks. The sides of matching wood. The table of pine with narrow, even grain. The head, well carved, of maple with narrow figure. The varnish has a rich dark red-brown color and covers the instrument fully. Inside a brown Jaeger case which includes two Jac Fluck bows; the octagonal bow is fashioned of pernambuco of brown color and bears the maker’s brand stamp. Ivory headplate. The frog of ebony is mounted with nickel-silver trimmings and has pearl eyes in flanks. The screwbutton of black bakelite with two metal rings and pearl end dot.
