LAPD Deploys New Computer Program to track Officer Complaints

The Los Angeles Police Department Internal Affairs Group (IAG) has just completed the installation of the first phase of a new computer program that tracks police officer's misconduct investigations. The new program called the Complaint Investigation Tracking System (CITS) will greatly enhance the management of personnel complaints within the IAG. CITS is the first phase on a new line of computer programs that will be deployed throughout the Department in the upcoming year. This program will be used to help define some of the new programs outlined in the Department of Justice Consent Decree.

For further information about the development of this new system, please contact Sergeant Lou Torres or Sergeant Phil Rivers, IAG Systems Development Unit at 818-894-1109.

This press release was prepared by Officer La Donna Cissell, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
