Murdered Victim found in Central Area

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Tuesday, December 1, 1998
On Tuesday, December 1, 1998, at approximately 2:35 p.m., a Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance Crew responded to a "Man down' call at 628 S. Stanford Avenue. Upon arrival, the ambulance crew attempted to determine what was wrong with the individual. As they checked him for injuries, they discovered that the victim had a single gunshot wound to the left side of his chest. The victim did not respond to the emergency medical treatment and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and conducted a crime scene investigation. There were no witness and therefore no description of the suspect(s). The motive for the crime is unknown at this time.

The victim is a male Black who was approximately 35-40 years of age. His identity has not yet been established.
