Ramparts 27th Annual Christmas Gift Donations to Blind Children's Center

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Thursday, December 10, 1998
On December 10, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., Rampart Area officers will once again help children from the "Blind Children's Center" celebrate Christmas by showering them with gifts and joining the children in a Christmas party.

This is the 27th year that Rampart Area officers have generously volunteered to purchase gifts for the children and joined them in their celebration. The officers will meet with Santa Claus at Rampart Station, 2710 W. Temple Street, at 9:30 a.m. and transport him and a caravan of gifts in police cars to the Blind Children's Center located at 4120 Marathon Street. The officers will assist Santa Claus distribute the gifts to the children and they will get to meet the child they purchased toys for.

The Rampart Area officers look forward to this event every year because it gives the officers the opportunity to bring some joy to the lives of children that might otherwise not have such an opportunity.
