Argument Turns Into Homicide

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Wednesday, December 22, 1999

On Friday, December 17, 1999, at 6:30 P.M., Gabriel Gonzales, a 50 year old resident of Northridge, became involved in a verbal argument with an unknown suspect at his place of employment. The suspect left the location and returned a short time later with several of his friends. The suspect resumed arguing with Mr. Gonzales. Subsequently, pulling a handgun from his waistband, the suspect fired several rounds at Mr. Gonzales before fleeing. The victim died at scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

There are no suspects in custody. Detectives from Devonshire Homicide Unit are handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detectives at 818-756-8291 or 818-756-8285 during off hours.
