Donation of toys and food for needy families

Harbor Community Police Station
2175 John Gibson Boulevard
San Pedro, CA

When:
Thursday, December 23, 1999
2:00 p.m.

On Thursday, December 23,1999, Harbor Explorer Scouts, Post #1727 will be providing donated toys and food to three needy families in the Harbor area. The Explorer Scouts along with Officers Teri Williams, Adam Broderick and Sunny Romero spent Wednesday speaking to the families, the officers then jotted down a "wish list".

Through donations from the Elks Lodge, Von's Markets, The Salvation Army, Big K-Mart and the Gaspar and Moore Families from Torrance, Officers Williams and Broderick, with the assistance of the explorers, purchased and wrapped all the gifts.

The gifts will be presented to the Buenrosto Family, The Dorador Family and the one other unnamed family who all reside in the San Pedro and Torrance areas. The Officers and Explorers will be meeting at Harbor Community Police Station at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Relations Office prior to departing to the homes of the recipients.
