Juvenile Detectives Present Gifts to Fire Displaced Family

Wednesday, December 22, 1999

On Wednesday, December 22, 1999, at 11:30 AM, detectives from Juvenile Division will be presenting gifts to the family members that suffered the tragic loss of their 18-month-old toddler in an apartment fire that occurred on November 22, 1999 in the Hyde Park Area of Los Angeles. The fire was accidentally started by the victim's 5-year-old sister while their 24-year-old mother, Nailah Shackelford, went next door to get a diaper.

The families, who resided together, lost most of their possessions during the fire and have been displaced.
