Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Motorist

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Wednesday, December 22, 1999

On Wednesday December 22, 1999, at approximately 12:45 AM, West Traffic Division Officers responded to a traffic collision at Lincoln Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.

An investigation revealed that a motorist traveling southbound on Lincoln Boulevard struck a bicyclist who was eastbound on Indiana Avenue from a boulevard stop sign. The bicyclist, a male Hispanic, approximately 30 years of age, sustained major trauma and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin by the coroner's office. No arrest were made as a result of this incident.

West Traffic Division, Collision Investigation Follow-up Unit, Detective Michael Dunn at 213-473-0223 will be conducting the investigation.
