Southeast Area Hosts It’s Annual Open House/Chili Cook-Off

On Saturday, December 11, 1999, between the hours of 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Southeast Area will be hosting it's annual "Open House/Chili Cook-Off". This event which will take place at Southeast Community Station, located at 145 West 108th Street, in Los Angeles. The event will feature displays by LAPD Recruitment, DARE, SWAT, K-9, Housing Police, LA Fire Department, Community Relations, Park Rangers, MTA, Military Recruiters and various community organizations. The highlight is the Chili-Cook-Off, which will be prepared by area residents and officers.
The event will help promote unity, teamwork and support not only for the Community but also for the Department. We expect a very large attendance and we will be providing entertainment by local performers. We will also have goodies for the kids.
