Three Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle

On Friday, December 3, 1999, at approximately 7:44 AM, a 29 year old woman, Silvia Gregory, her 9 year old son, Edgar Gregory and an 8 year old friend Felix Rios, were walking across Adams Boulevard in a marked crosswalk at St. James Place in Southwest Division of Los Angeles. Two vehicles were described by witnesses proceeding at a high rate of speed estimated at approximately 60 MPH, in what appeared to be a chase through the intersection eastbound on Adams. The first car, a green Honda, no further description, passed the intersection without incident, The second car, described as a grey or blue small imported car, possibly a Datsun or Toyota, collided with the three pedestrians. Both vehicles continued without stopping northbound on St. James Place. Civilian witnesses attempted to follow the suspect’s vehicles, but were able to supply only limited information. The occupants of the suspect vehicle were described as two male Hispanic adults with no further information at this time.

The medical condition of Silvia and Edgar Gregory is was described as guarded and very grave. Felix Rios was described as serious.
