Homicide Detectives Investigate the Death of a 21-Year Old Male

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday, December 22, 1999

West Los Angeles Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of 21-year-old, Andre Jamel Campbell.

The homicide occurred on December 22, 1999, at approximately 1:40 A.M. The victim was possibly shot to death, by unknown suspect(s), while riding in a vehicle in the 9100 block of Pico Boulevard. Subsequent to the shooting, the vehicle that the victims were in crashed and became lodged between a utility pole and a building. There were three other occupants in the vehicle who suffered serious to minor injuries as a result of the collision and they were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

West Los Angeles Detectives believe the shooting is gang related and are investigating several leads associated with this case.
