Thursday, December 7, 2000



"Drive-By Kills One Pedestrian"

Los Angeles - On Wednesday, December 6, 2000, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the victim, identified as Steven Bowen, 44 years of age, was walking southbound on Harvard Boulevard from 208th Street, when a white truck pulled alongside the victim. A suspect fired several rounds from an unknown firearm from inside the truck at the victim. The victim was fatally injured by the gunfire and was pronounced dead at scene by the responding paramedics.

The motive for this crime is still undetermined. The suspect(s) and murder weapon are outstanding.

Homicide Detectives from Harbor Operations Support Division are conducting this investigation. Anyone with information that may assist in this investigation are urged to call, 310-548-2836.
