"Obscene Material Confiscated During Warrant Search"

Los Angeles - On Friday, December 15, 2000, the Los Angeles Police Department's Pornography Unit at Organized Crime and Vice Division (OCVD) served a search warrant in connection with an investigation into the distribution of obscene materials.

The search warrant was served at Scymore Inc., located at 9447 DeSoto Avenue, in the San Fernando Valley.

The undercover detectives' investigation of this company revealed the distribution of sexually explicit adult videotapes that are believed to display adult obscene acts. Several items were obtained during the search warrant and were booked as evidence, no arrests were made.

The case will be presented to the City Attorney for prosecution.

The on-gong investigation is being conducted by OCVD.
