Los Angeles: On Thursday, December 13, 2001, at approximately 11:05 PM., 77^th Street officers responded to the 9400 Block of South Hobart Boulevard, for a death investigation. Upon their arrival, they were met by Los Angeles Police City Fire Department Paramedics. The officers were advised that the victim, Guion Pierre Revels, a male, Black, age 18 had been pronounced dead. The preliminary investigation revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown. The suspect(s) and weapon also remain outstanding.
