LAPD Angels Community Toy Drive -- Discovering the Angel in All of Us - West Valley

"LAPD Angels Community Toy Drive -- Discovering the Angel in All of Us - West Valley"

Los Angeles - - With the Holidays upon us, and in the spirit of giving, the Los Angeles Police Department and the community it serves are combining efforts to donate unwrapped toys and books for the many under privileged children in the Los Angeles Area.

Throughout this past year, we have been faced with unprecedented obstacles, challenges and a newly reprised feeling of City unity. With so many overwhelming recent events that have shaken our sense of security, it is assuring to know that as a City, we will recover and prosper together simply because we care and are committed to serving each other.

In keeping with the tradition of giving, Funrise Toy Company in conjunction with West Valley Area Police Station will be sponsoring the Funrise Toy/Ghostriders Toy Run and Giveaway. The event will be held on Sunday December 8, 2002 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., at the Children’s Hospital, which is located at 4650 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles. There will be several LAPD motorcycle officers, Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and fire trucks, as well as many others participating in this toy run and giveaway.

Please direct any inquiries regarding this media advisory to Media Relations Section, 213 485-3586. This press release was prepared by Public Information Officer Renee’Montoya, Media Relations Section.
