Los Angeles: On Monday, December 9, 2002, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a fatal, auto vs. pedestrian traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and 80th Street in 77th Street Area.

The collision occurred when the deceased, Mossie Lee Williams, 73 years of Los Angeles, attempted to walk across Vermont Avenue at 80th Street. It is unknown if Williams was walking eastbound or westbound at the intersection when she was struck by a unknown vehicle traveling southbound on Vermont Avenue.
