Detective’s Investigate Venice Homicide - UPDATE

"Detective’s Investigate Venice Homicide - UPDATE"

 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at 12:55 a.m., 30 year-old, Michael Alan Treanor a resident of Los Angeles was shot while sitting in his vehicle located at the 1000 block of Electric Avenue.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an unidentified suspect on a bicycle approached the victim and fired several rounds into the vehicle striking the victim several times. Mr. Treanor died as a result of his injuries.

The motive is unknown. The suspect has not been identified and the murder weapon is outstanding.

UPDATE: December 20, 2002.

Today, Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski of the 11th District presented an emergency motion to the City Council to provide a $25,000 reward for the identification, apprehension and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Michael Alan Teanor that occurred on December, 18, 2002. The motion was passed by the City Council and the reward will be in effect for 60 days.
