Where:
Hollenbeck Community Police Station, 2111 East 1st Street Los Angeles

Los Angeles: Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of Manuel Edgardo Palacios, a male Hispanic, 41 years of age. On November 24, 2002, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the victim and his wife were returning home from grocery shopping. As the victim prepared to enter his residence, which is located in the 1300 block of Dacotah Street, numerous gunshots were heard and believed to have originated from the vicinity of the Lou Costello Jr. Recreation Center. The Center is located approximately 100 yards from the victim’s residence. One of the stray rounds struck the victim in the chest area.

Councilman Nick Pacheco will be attending the press conference to announce a $25,000.00 reward seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect(s) responsible for this crime.

The family members of the victim will be attending the press conference.
