Motorist Hits 14 Parked Vehicles

 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, December 25, 2002, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Yankel Shekthman, a 66 year-old male, was driving his 1990 red Chevrolet Corsica westbound on the 7500 block of Franklin Avenue when he collided into an unattended parked vehicle on Franklin Avenue and Vista Street.

After the collision, Mr. Shekthman continued to drive his vehicle onto southbound Vista Avenue where he struck another 13 unattended-parked vehicles along Vista Avenue. Shekthman’s vehicle was disabled as a result of the collisions. He received minor injuries due to the collisions. Shekthman was treated by the Los Angeles Fire Department and transported to a local hospital.

The collisions are currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, West Traffic Division Detectives. Anyone with information regarding this incident may call the West Traffic Division Detectives at,
