Mothers On the March Holiday Tree Trimming

 

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at about 7:00 p.m., 77th Street Area Community Police Station and Mothers On the March (MOM) will hold its Annual Holiday Tree Trimming in the lobby of 77th Street Station in remembrance of the lives lost to violent crime in 77th Street Area. Mothers On the March (MOM) provides support and referral services to, 77th Street Area mothers who have lost children as a result of violent crime.

Each participant is asked to bring an ornament to hang on the tree in the lobby of the 77th Street Community Police Station, and unwrapped toy. The event will bring together law enforcement, local businesses, outreach groups, gang counselors, LAPD Explorers, several local churches, in order to remember the victims and families of violent crime during the holiday season. All community members and families are invited to participate.

All toys received at this event will be given to children who live in 77th Street area in the name of the family making the donation. If you are interested in helping, or you have questions regarding MOM, please contact 77th Street Area Community Relations, at 213-485-4285.
