Annual Cops and Kids Christmas Party

"Annual Cops and Kids Christmas Party"

 

Los Angeles: On Thursday, December 18, 2003, at about 11:00 a.m., the Los Angeles Ministry Project of South Central Los Angeles (LAMP) and the Los Angeles Police Department, Metropolitan Division K9, Mounted, and "B" Platoons will host its annual Kids, Dogs, Horses and Cops Christmas party for underprivileged children.

Each officer adopted one of the one hundred twenty five children by purchasing specific presents for each child. The party will include a demonstration from the K9 and Mounted units. A child’s bounce, piñata, and other games will be available.

The South Central LAMP program is an organization that works with mothers and children in the community who are at risk, and strives to enhance parenting skills and family life. The LAMP program is located at 104 West 47th place (Main Street and 47th Place).
