Rampart Food and Toy Give-Away

Los Angeles: With the Holidays upon us, and in the spirit of giving, the Los Angeles Police Department and the community it serves are combining efforts to donate food and unwrapped toys for under privileged families in the Los Angeles area.

Throughout the year, we are faced with obstacles and challenges that cause a need for the feeling of unity. It is assuring to know that as a City, we will come together and prosper, simply because we care an are committed to serving each other.

In keeping with the tradition of giving, Rampart Community Police Station will be sponsoring a food basket and toy give-away for needy families. It will be held on December 20, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at the Rampart Station, located at 2710 West Temple Street.

For further information regarding the event, contact the Rampart Community Relations Office at 213-847-1903.

This news advisory was prepared by Public Information Officer April Harding, Media Relations Section, at 213-485-3586.
