Suspect Arrested for Forgery

Los Angeles: Last night in the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Police Department Detectives arrested an individual based on felony criminal charges, Forgery.

To our knowledge, this individual has no connection to the current threat level, and the department has no information to suggest that.

The arrest is part of the on-going efforts of the Major Crimes Division, a part of the Department’s Critical Incident Management Bureau. The arrest is the result of a terrorism related investigation. When the Division becomes aware of individuals committing criminal activity, not related to terrorism, arrests are made. Many individuals have been arrested since 911 and before the current threat level was raised. More arrests will be made in the future.

This press release was prepared by Commanding Officer, Mary Grady, Public Information Office, 213-485-3586.
