Sobriety Checkpoint Conducted In Wilmington

 

Los Angeles: On Saturday, December 27, 2003, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. the next day, officers from the South Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Wilmington. The checkpoint will be located in the Harbor Area on Anaheim Street between Fries Avenue and Island Avenue. The checkpoint will be set up to screen drivers eastbound on Anaheim Street.

This operation will be conducted in an effort to reduce injuries, death, and property damage associated with the intoxicated driver.

Approximately 14 traffic officers and 2 traffic sergeants from the Los Angeles Police Department will be involved in the checkpoint.
