Attempt Kidnap in Hollywood

Los Angeles: On December 10, 2004, at approximately 6:40 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood officers responded to a radio call of an attempt kidnap in the area of Fountain Avenue and Vine Street. The victim, a 14-year old female, was walking to her school bus stop when assaulted at knifepoint.

The suspect, a male Hispanic, is described as being in his early twenties, 5’7” tall, weighing approximately 170 to 180 pounds. The suspect’s hair was described as dark and short. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, with a “USC” emblem on the front.

The suspect was sitting in a newer model, dark green, 4-door vehicle, possibly a Honda Accord. The vehicle was parked on the south side of Fountain Avenue, just east of Vine Street. As the victim walked past the suspect’s vehicle, he got out and approached the victim from the rear. The suspect was armed with a knife, and spoke in English, as he attempted to drag her towards his vehicle.

The victim was able to escape from the suspect, who subsequently fled in his vehicle.
