LAPD Academy Graduation of 43 New Officers

What:
LAPD Academy Graduation of 43 New Officers

When:
Friday, December 9, 2005, 9:00 AM

Where:
LAPD Academy
1880 North Academy Drive, Elysian Park

Who:
Chief William J. Bratton
Representatives from the Mayor's Office and the Board of Commission
Police Department Command Staff

Why:
Graduating officers have completed 1,035 hours of training over the course of 32 weeks. There are 37 males and 6 females in the class. The ethnic break down of the class is as follows; 22 Hispanics, 10 Caucasians, 4 African-Americans, 4 Filipinos, 1 Chinese, 1 Armenian, and 1 Portuguese. It is estimated that over 500 guests will attend the graduation ceremonies.

Chief Bratton will inspect the class.
