Man Found Shot, Detectives Investigate

Los Angeles:  Wilshire detectives are asking for the public's help in finding any witnesses who may have seen the shooting death of a Los Angeles man.

On Sunday, December 11, 2005, at about 10:20 p.m., Rene Romero, a 36-year-old, Hispanic man was found lying on the street, on Normandie Avenue and 14th Street.  Romero was shot several times in the chest. 

Romero was taken to California Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The motive for this crime is unknown at this time.
